The 23rd Psalm
In most areas of life we rely to one extent or another upon ourselves. Upon our own will and strength, upon our intellect, our family and friends.
But in death we are powerless. Whether we face our own death or that of a loved one, when the time comes there is nothing we can do about it. How lonely it must be if we face death alone, with only our own strength to rely upon.
Many times over the years I have taken comfort in the above passage. In it we find the promise that God is with us and watching over us. If we take time to be with him in life, he is there to give us strength and comfort when we face death. We need not face anything alone!

Thank you so much for these words. They were very comforting to me this morning. I am comforted to know that my Brother did not die alone. I was there with him through all of his pain and suffering. It is also comforting to know that I have friends that think about me. My Brother was a great guy. The streets destroyed his life and he caved in to the evil of drugs. He is finally out of his pain and suffering. God Bless You Grizz...and God Bless My Brother Tom.
